How is it different from other YouTube MCP servers?
- Read-only or search
- Your own Google Cloud project and client_secret.json
- stdio on your machine
- No scheduling, no confirm step
- Write-capable: upload, thumbnails, edits, replies
- Hosted OAuth, no project to create
- Streamable HTTP from any client
- Publish times, preview → confirm, audit log
- Your channel, your data
- YouTube's Data API v3
- Google's quota rules
Does it need my own Google Cloud project or API key?
No. You sign in with Google inside Pushwing; your assistant signs in to Pushwing. Tokens are encrypted at rest and never sent to the assistant. Disconnect revokes at Google.
Why are uploads private right now?
YouTube restricts uploads from API projects that haven't passed its compliance audit to private. Ours is pending. Until it clears, uploads land as private and you can make them public in YouTube Studio; after it clears, the privacy you ask for applies.
What are the limits?
| YouTube uploads | 100 per day, shared across all early-access users (one API project) |
| Other YouTube calls | 10,000 units per day shared; thumbnails, edits and replies cost 50 each, listing videos costs 1 |
| Comment replies | 10 per hour per account |
| File sizes | Video up to 1 GB; inline upload up to 20 MB; thumbnail up to 2 MB; Instagram photo up to 8 MB (JPEG) |
